Annual Symposium

Each Fall the Institute for Drug Discovery presents a symposium which provides exceptional speakers from around the country, while also showcasing faculty research and providing an opportunity for collaborations to begin.  

 

2024 - 9th Annual Symposium

Friday, September 20, 2024 in the Purdue Memorial Union

Keynote Speakers included:

Guoxin Zhu (Eli Lilly) - "Setting a course for biopharmaceutical innovation in the new era"

Anna Mapp (U. Michigan) - "Lessons from nature: how to drug transcription factors"

2023 - 8th Annual Symposium

Bryan Roth (U. North Carolina) - "Illuminating the receptors of perception"

Daniel Nomura (Berkeley) - "Reimagining druggability using chemoproteomic platforms"

 

2022 - 7th Annual Symposium

Friday, September 30, 2022 in the Stewart Center

Brian Blagg (Notre Dame) - "From pan to selective inhibition of Hsp90: new therapies for cancer, glaucoma, and CNS disorders"

Gunda Georg (U. Minnesota) - "Retinoic acid receptor antagonist for non-hormonal male contraception"

2020 - 2021

In order to ensure the safety of our symposium attendees, the 2020 and 2021 annual symposiums were cancelled due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. 

 

2019 - 6th Annual Symposium
